Terem Moffi, Super Eagles striker, will return to action on Wednesday after being sidelined due to an anterior cruciate ligament injury.

The striker sustained an ACL injury during a Nice training session in July 2023 and has been out since.

He missed Nice's last 37 games after undergoing surgery that ruled him out of playing football for 240 days.

Moffi had just come off a season where he scored 11 goals and provided 2 assists in 30 appearances when he sustained an untimely injury.

The Super Eagles star has been working to reach full fitness since returning to light training at Nice at the start of the month.

Nice revealed on Saturday that 23-year-old striker Moffi is fully fit again by sharing a picture of him participating in an intense training session with his teammates.

The French side plans to gradually reintegrate Terem Moffi into the squad to prevent re-injury. He may not return to full action for a while due to the severity of his injury.

The Super Eagles striker may need to pace himself this season and focus on securing a starting position during the next pre-season, as the campaign concludes in two months.
