Brazil icon Neymar has welcomed former Barcelona and Manchester United star Memphis Depay after his move to Corinthians.

Depay was linked with a move to Spanish side Rayo and a few clubs in Saudi Arabia but a transfer never materialised.

Following the move, Neymar shared a note, welcoming the former Barcelona man to Brazil, saying;

"It's really cool that this guy is going to play for Crasil... may more and more stars of this level come to Brazilian football. Welcome to Brazil brother, enjoy my country."

After completing his move, Depay wrote "My first day in Brazil confirmed that God wanted me to be here for many reasons." #purpose."

Memphis Depay started his senior career with his boyhood club PSV

Eindhoven in 2011 and after a four-year tenure, he played for Manchester United from 2015 to 2017.

The Dutchman joined Ligue 1 club Lyon in 2017 and continued there till 2021 before joining Barcelona. During his two-year tenure at the Blaugrana, Memphis won the 2022-23 La Liga and the 2023 Supercopa de Espana.
