The Hammers are, however, winless in their previous six league games against United, losing each of the last five.

Travelling to the London Stadium on Sunday to face West Ham United gives Manchester United a chance to bounce back from a recent defeat to Brighton.

United have produced an inconsistent run and have been unable to win back-to-back games in the last two weeks.

The Hammers have also had a rather frustrating season, as they have had to spend most of the time in the relegation zone and are not yet completely out of the danger zone.

The home match gives them an opportunity to win and collect crucial points that may ensure survival at the end of the season.

The two sides have met twice so far this season, and United won both games. In the reverse fixture, the Red Devils were 1-0 winners and also claimed a 3-1 FA Cup win in the fifth round.

Team News

Kurt Zouma (ankle), Vladimir Coufal (thig), and Gianluca Scamacca (knee) are not available for David Moyes, and Neyaf Aguerd, Declan Rice, and Tomas Soucek remain doubts for the home match.

Erik ten Hag also has a number of injuries to deal with; Lisandro Martinez (foot), Raphael Varane (ankle), Tom Heaton (ankle), Phil Jones (knee), Donny van de Beek (knee), Scott McTominay (knock), and Alejandro Garnacho (ankle) will all not be available for United.

What are the stats saying?

The Hammers are in danger of losing four consecutive Premier League games for the first time since ending 2022 with a run of five straight defeats.

United have lost eight of 17 Premier League games this season against teams currently in the top half of the table but are unbeaten in 16 matches versus sides in the bottom half, winning 12 of those fixtures.

Three of Marcus Rashford's four league goals against West Ham have come as substitutes; it is the most he has scored from the bench against a particular opponent in the competition.

Predicted line-ups:

West Ham: Fabianski, Kehrer, Ogbonna, Aguerd, Emerson, Soucek, Rice, Bowen, Paqueta, Benrahma, Antonio.

Manchester United: De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Shaw, Dalot, Casemiro, Eriksen; Antony, Bruno Fernandes, Sancho, Rashford.
