One would imagine that Uganda Cranes winger Allan Kateregga, a very cheerful character in the dressing room, doesn’t have a partner in crime.
Coached by Frenchman Sébastien Desabre, the team camped in Abu Dhabi for 34 days, where they played two friendly games against Ivory Coast and Turkmenistan before arriving in Cairo on 18th June.
They didn't disappoint, reaching the round of 16 for the first time since 1978 and picking up their first group stage win in as many years.

After the group stage games, with a few days to the round of 16 stage, the players demanded their bonuses, threatening not to honour the fixture against Senegal.
Kateregga opens up
The Dancing Rasta says the team agreed upon everything in camp in 2019.
"Well, that happened; some things are true while others are not," Kateregga told Pulse Sports before adding.

"We had a meeting, it was a team thing, and everyone was involved; we just wanted to make sure we get something out of it. We agreed (to strike), and everything went as planned."
However, what hurts Kateregga is that some players were victimized after the tournament.
Yet, it was a collective decision, adding that he is patiently waiting for another Cranes call-up.
"I was victimized, I guess since I am the one who is always smiling, it looked like I was the main act, but I wasn't; as I said, it was a team thing."
"I am in contact with the head coach (Micho); we discussed it during the season, I thought I would play the Tanzania qualifiers, but it wasn't possible; I keep waiting," he noted.
The players were later paid before the game and returned to training a day before the Senegal game, but they eventually lost 1-0.
Kateregga returned to the Cranes squad in 2020 under Jonathan McKinstry during the 2021 AFCON qualifiers but has yet to feature since.
