Bukayo Saka is in the form of his life for Arsenal, but club legend Thierry Henry believes something is missing.
Saka’s stunning level
Arsenal have come close to winning the Premier League in the past two seasons, and they came into this campaign as one of the favourites, alongside Manchester City.
That relative success has been fueled largely by Saka’s ascendency, and the Hale End graduate continues to be the Gunners most important attacker.
Saka has had as many goal contributions as games played this season (21). The latest came few days ago when he was involved in every goal in the 3-0 Champions League triumph over Monaco (two goals, one assist).
What Arteta said
Speaking after the display against Les Monegasques, the Arsenal gaffer, Arteta was questioned about Saka’s level in comparison to more established stars like Harry Kane and Vinicius. He had the following to say:
“You have to be able to do that consistently for many years to be in that position. What he’s done at his age, you can put in brackets because you can compare what he’s done in his first six years of professional football, which is exceptional.
“That’s it. His aim is to improve. He has the players and the environment around him to continue to do and I’m sure that he will.”
