Kitara FC head coach Brian Ssenyondo texted each of his players on the night before his side edged KCCA FC 1-0 in the Uganda Premier League at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo on Friday.
The youthful tactician preached to each member of his team the importance of character in their game.
And, following the victory, Ssenyondo was pleased the players heeded to his summon against the 13-time champions.
"If you check their phones, I sent them messages at night emphasizing character. And we won because of that," he told the press after the famous win.

"There's a game I played here (previously), I led till the 90th minute but lost 2-1 in the three added minutes," the youthful tactician recalled.
"I think it was about collective responsibility and character. I told the boys that talent is good but what will have us win is character," Ssenyondo reiterated.
"The target is to finish in the top five. Hopefully we can be lucky and lift the trophy."
