The local giants could miss out on playing in international club competitions following stringent CAF requirements.
Kakamega Homeboyz chairman Cleophas Shimanyula has taunted their Premier League rivals Gor Mahia and Tusker for not owning women’s teams.
Homeboyz, just like Tusker and Gor Mahia, could participate in the CAF competitions next season. The African FA’s rules demand that clubs only be eligible to play in their competitions if they own a women’s team.

The centre-back is among the players rumoured to be on the verge of leaving Simba SC ahead of next season.
To Shimanyula, they are ready to abide by that rule, while the Brewers and K’Ogalo – as it stands – do not qualify for continental games.
"We have a women’s team, and we have had it for quite a long time," Shimanyula said.
"Some may say that we acquired a women’s team just because we are anticipating CAF football, but that is not the case because that team has been there for some time.
"We are not like other teams who wait until the last minute to realize that they need to do ABCD.
"Even without the possibility of playing in CAF, we had a long-term dream of having a women’s team, and that is the major thing that separates us from other clubs.
"Do Gor Mahia and Tusker have their women’s teams? If not, why have they not formed them? We are far, and we cannot be compared with anyone else."

The three clubs have a chance to represent Kenya in the Champions League and Confederation Cup but must comply with stringent rules by June 30 to get clearance
Homeboyz can get a ticket to the Confederation Cup should they beat Tusker to the 2023 FKF Cup.
Tusker and Gor Mahia have a chance to win the Champions League ticket but need to win the league title first.
Even with that in mind, they will need to satisfy the CAF rules in order to be eligible for participation.
