Chido Obi: Arsenal to tie down 16-year-old Nigeria-eligible wonderkid
Premier League leaders Arsenal have secured the future of talented youngster Chido Obi, an academy player eligible for the Super Eagles.
Obi speaks about Manchester United star
Chidozie has proven to be the main star for Arsenal’s young Gunners this season in the under-18s and could earn a deserved promotion to the under-21s.
Speaking about United’s young Dane, the young striker stated: "I really like Rasmus. He is strong and powerful, so you can learn a lot from him," per Bold.
Obi went on to note the contrasting styles between the two young talents, saying: "At the start, he didn't score that much for United, but now he has found his form. He is left-footed, I am right-footed, but we can both score goals."
The Arsenal prodigy has been in sensational form this campaign, netting an incredible 28 goals in just 16 league games.
His goal-scoring exploits have included hat-tricks against Southampton and West Ham, as well as four-goal hauls versus Crystal Palace and Fulham.
Obi has even hit the heights of seven goals in a single match, putting Norwich City to the sword, having earlier struck 11 times against Liverpool's youngsters.
While Manchester United's U18 side has dominated their rivals, Obi could soon face off against United when the Red Devils take on Arsenal in the U21 Premier League, in a tantalizing clash of two of the country's most exciting young talents.
Now, it seems the talented youngster is on his way to joining compatriot, Hojlund at Old Trafford after a breakdown in contract talks with Arsenal after initial positive talks.
Per the latest report, Obi-Martin will leave the Emirates for a new home, with Manchester United now favourites to land the wonderkid.
