Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne linked with lucrative summer move to challenge Messi
The MLS could be welcoming a new superstar to the league after rumours emerged of a move for Manchester City's superstar.
What happened
The 39-year-old is the most followed individual across social media platforms; hence, he dared to conquer the video-sharing world of YouTube, and to great success.
Following the record-breaking launch of his channel, UR Cristiano, he decided to collaborate with the biggest player in the field, Mr Beast. The duo have since released multiple videos on both their platforms, one of which concerns Messi.
Ronaldo keeps rivalry alive
In one such video, the Al Nassr striker was involved in a challenge called "How Many Goalkeepers Does It Take to Stop Ronaldo?"
As stated on the tin, the challenge involved increasing the number of ‘goalkeepers’ between the sticks after each Ronaldo attempt in a bid to ascertain how many bodies it would take for regulars to save a Cristiano penalty.
Mr Beast himself went up first and Ronaldo score that attempt and two others before a fourth goalkeeper was introduced. The fourth is a regular contributor on Mr Beast’s channel named Nolan.
In fear of being struck by Ronaldo's attempt, Mr Beast and the two others told on Nolan, informing the Portuguese that their friend is a Messi fan, in hopes that the five-time Ballon d'Or winner fires his attempt towards Nolan's direction.
"Nolan says he doesn't like you; he thinks you're not the GOAT,” Mr Beast said. "Nolan's the guy on the end over there, he thinks Messi's better! He calls it soccer and he said Messi's the GOAT."
Ronaldo had a hearty laugh after the comment and replied with, “Who said Messi's better than me?” He laughed hard again before proceeding to take his penalty. The ploy worked as Ronaldo fired towards Nolan's direction and scored.
After the early meteoric spike, Ronaldo's YouTube channel is now growing at a slow but steady pace. He currently has 72.1 million subscribers.
