And while Put was pleased with the way the team bounced back from the Comoros thrashing to draw with the four-time African champions, he was left bothered with the consistent generosity at the back.

The manner with which the Uganda Cranes have conceded goals in the last two international friendly matches against Comoros and Ghana is giving head coach Paul Joseph Put a bloody nose.

Uganda has leaked in six goals in the two games; allowing in four against Comoros (4-0) last Friday and two in the 2-2 draw with Ghana yesterday.

In Marrakech last evening, Jordan Ayew and Jerome Opoku netted for the Black Stars, while Steven Desse Mukwala and Muhammad Shaban were on target for the Cranes.

And while Put was pleased with the way the team bounced back from the Comoros thrashing to draw with the four-time African champions, he was left bothered with the consistent generosity at the back.

"I am happy with the result because we played one of the strongest teams of Africa so I think the players made a good performance,” Uganda Cranes coach Paul Put said a post-match interview.

"But we may not be blind, for a tournament like the World Cup qualifiers we conceded two goals again today so we have to learn so that it doesn’t happen in June because if you concede goals, its very difficult to come back,” he added with a frustrated tone.

“I think there is progress but also still a lot of work to do. I hope to recover injured players for the game in June because we had to change a lot, so it’s not that easy.”

The stalemate against Ghana was the Belgian's fourth game as Uganda Cranes head coach, and has managed a win plus two defeats.

Uganda will host Botswana in the World Cup qualifiers on June 5, before another home bout against giants Algeria three days later, at the Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.
