The Gor Mahia Secretary General, who is eying the federation's top seat, has expressed his displeasure with the electoral board for operating from FKF premises.
Football Kenya Federation (FKF) presidential hopeful Sam Ochola has expressed his displeasure with current electoral board's base ahead of the highly anticipated December 7 elections.
The board, which currently operates from Kandanda House, an FKF premises, has received backlash from aspirants for their operation base with Ochola the latest to question the decision.
Ochola believes this arrangement compromises the board’s neutrality and, by extension, the fairness of the election process.

'We want our clubs to make money'- Nick Mwendwa hails federation's groundbreaking partnership with FIFA for FKF PL clubs
FKF president Nick Mwendwa flagged off the two-day event on Monday aimed at professionalizing and commercializing FKF Premier League clubs that was attended by top clubs and FIFA officials.
“FKF Electoral Board operates from Kandanda House; it’s like the President is contesting, but IEBC is based at State House. That should not be the case," said Ochola according to Citizen TV.
To guarantee a free and fair election, Ochola has called for the relocation of the Electoral Board to the Ministry of Sports headquarters.
“We need a free and fair election. To achieve that, the board must be very independent,” he emphasized.
Ochola's sentiments was echoed by the National Assembly in September when the House queried Sports Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen on why the board was operating from the federation's premises.
Though Murkomen revealed plans of lending an independent facility to the Board, that promise is yet to materialize, leaving aspirants to continue advocating for the relocation.
