Shimanyula believes the local coaches can be more successful if they are well remunerated and given the necessary resources.
Kakamega Homeboyz chairman Cleophas Shimanyula has claimed Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) sides AFC Leopards and Gor Mahia waste resources by hiring foreign coaches.
Patrick Aussems is in charge of Ingwe, while K’Ogalo are under Johnathan McKinstry. The local heavyweights are the only ones being managed by foreign tacticians.

Mozzart Bet Cup Aussems disappointed at missed opportunity to face "enemy" Matano in cup final
Leopards lost 2-1 to Kakamega Homeboyz in the semi-finals of the Mozzart Bet Cup.
"Having a foreign coach in the Premier League is a waste of time and resources, better hire a local coach who can do the job three times better than those foreign coaches," said Shimanyula.
"It is unfortunate that we want to invest too much money in foreign coaches and they deliver nothing.
"Just get a local coach and give him what a foreign coach gets in terms of remuneration and you will see immediate success; it is useless to hire a foreigner and then go without winning a single trophy every season. I really don’t understand why AFC and Gor are obsessed with these 'Mzungu' coaches."

FKF CUP Homeboyz head coach on what downed AFC Leopards in FKF Cup semis
Homeboyz needed two quick goals from Moses Shummah and Kevin Amwayi to hunt down AFC Leopards.
While pointing out how local coaches have performed with a number of clubs, the football administrator said he will not hire a foreign coach for his side.
Previously, he worked with Paul Nkata from Uganda, but the relationship did not last long. The former Bandari and Tusker head coach was fired in 2019 by Homeboyz over allegations of match-fixing.
"At Homeboyz, I have never thought of, even for a second, hiring a foreign coach. For what? We have good coaches in the country who can do this job and bring success to any club," he added.

FKF CUP Tumewaramba vile inafaa! Kakamega Homeboyz mock wounded AFC Leopards
Abana Abeingo scored two goals in the first half that propelled them to the ultimate stage of the domestic competition.
"For example, Tusker are doing very well under Robert Matano; they are chasing a double, is Matano a foreign coach? Look at Nzoia Sugar, they are challenging for the title under Salim Babu. Is Salim [Babu] a foreign coach?
"It is the same case with Homeboyz; we are in the final of the FKF Cup with a local coach, Patrick Odhiambo. We have Bernard Mwalala at Ulinzi Stars, a good coach, doing great things there, as well as Francis Kimanzi, who can work with any team and deliver results."
AFC Leopards are not in contention for any trophy this season, while Gor Mahia have a chance of lifting a gong through the league.
