Referees under their body, the Uganda Football Referees Association (UFRA) vowed to officiate Express matches only when worthy action had been taken.
The Startimes Uganda Premier League Secretariat has postponed the match between Express FC and Wakiso Giants FC to allow for the smooth investigations of acts of hooliganism that involved alleged fans of the former.
Express had been slated to wrestle it out with the Purple Sharks at the Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium on Saturday, but the game has been moved to a yet-to-be-confirmed date.
"The UPL Secretariat has been guided by FUFA to postpone M#56 Wakiso Giants FC vs Express FC that was scheduled to be played on Saturday 11th November 2023," a league statement said on Wednesday.
"This is to allow judicial bodies conclude matters relating to M#38 UPDF FC vs Express FC match."
Nearly a fortnight back, suspected Express fans attacked and beat assistant referee Fahad Sekayiba after their 1-1 draw with UPDF FC at Bombo Military Barracks.

Through their umbrella body, the Uganda Football Referees Association (UFRA), the officials have vowed not to officiate matches involving Express, until the culprits are brought to book.
Last week, FUFA President Moses Magogo confirmed that Express had been found innocent and that the individual perpetrators were to be dealt with in isolation by law.
