However, he remains cautious and emphasises the importance of consistency.

"Really good, winning lifts the energy and the confidence up. They were two big wins for us, now it's about consistency, taking it further against a good opponent tomorrow," Artet told Reuters.

The return of captain Martin Odegaard has been a boost for Arsenal since he returned from an ankle injury as a late substitute in the UEFA Champions League against Inter and has made three consecutive starts for the Gunners, meeting the high expectations set for him.

"The way he prepares himself, the work he put in with the physios and medical department with the importance of the season as well.

"He's been exceptional since the Chelsea game and been very consistent. He's so reliable to take the game to the next levell," Arteta said.

While Arsenal are in good form, Arteta is wary of the challenge posed by West Ham United.

"West Ham manager Julen Lopetegui and I are friends. I have huge admiration for what he's done in the game. They're a team on a high after the good result at Newcastle away, and they're always a tough opponent," he said.

The Spaniard also provided an update on Gabriel's fitness, stating that a late decision would be made on his availability.

"We will have to assess Gabriel, he had to come off [against Sporting] but hopefully, he will be okay," Arteta added.
