Mourinho's unveiling
Mourinho, 61, has been out of work following his termination as Roma’s manager by the Giallorossi leadership. Multiple clubs, including big spenders from Saudi Arabia, courted him, but Jose turned them down.
He finally agreed to join Turkish side Fenerbahce, who slightly missed out on the Super Lig title despite losing only one game and amassing a whopping 99 points, and he will be replacing Ismail Karla.
The former Chelsea boss was unveiled to a packed Sukru Saracoglu Stadium in Istanbul on Sunday. Overwhelmed by the marvellous reception, Mourinho sent a powerful message to the crowd.
"Normally a coach is loved after victories," said the former Manchester United boss. "In this case, I feel that I am loved before the victories.
"That is a big responsibility that I feel. I promise you from this moment, I belong to your family. This shirt is my skin."
Fenerbahce will be Mourinho's 10th club as a manager, after coaching Benfica, Uniao de Leiria, Porto, Chelsea, Inter, Real Madrid, Manchester United, Tottenham and Roma.
