Meanwhile, Inter Miami is on the verge of taking home the Supporters' Shield, which is awarded to the team with the best regular-season record, despite three consecutive ties.
With three games remaining, they are eight points ahead of Columbus Crew, who are in second place in the Eastern Conference.
