Lamine Yamal and Alex Padilla's widely covered relationship ended months ago, and she is currently losing followers.
Alexandra Padilla, the former girlfriend of Barcelona’s teenage sensation Lamine Yamal, is experiencing a dramatic decline in her social media following, months after their highly publicized breakup.
The 2007-born Spanish influencer has reportedly lost over 100,000 followers on TikTok, a sharp reversal from the meteoric rise she enjoyed during their relationship.
Padilla’s online fame skyrocketed in July 2023, peaking at 2 million TikTok followers by August 13, after gaining an astonishing 900,000 followers within a month.
This surge coincided with the buzz surrounding her relationship with Yamal, 17, particularly during the Euro 2024, which the Blaugrana star played a key role in helping Spain lift the trophy.
However, the pair unfollowed each other on Instagram shortly after a romantic getaway to Greece, signalling a possible split.
Lamine Yamal and Alex Padilla: Online drama and allegations take a toll
The breakup wasn’t without controversy.
A viral TikTok video appeared to show Padilla in a compromising position with a mystery man, sparking allegations of infidelity.
Fans accused Padilla of disloyalty, claiming she sat on the mystery boy’s lap after a going live on her friend Ivan Fernandez’s TikTok.
However, a slowed-down version of the video proved Padilla was seated on a stool.
Despite the clarification, the damage was done.
Padilla faced relentless online abuse, leading her to deactivate her Instagram account, which had amassed over 500,000 followers by July.
Before exiting social media, she addressed the rumours in a fiery post: “I ain’t climbed on no dudes’ legs; I was just sitting on a stool in between.”
While Padilla denies any wrongdoing, the fallout from the breakup and the accompanying drama have undoubtedly tainted her once-rising social media star power.
