During Switzerland’s run at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, Alisha Lehmann’s following also grew to 14.7m, extending her lead as the most followed player in the Women’s World Cup.

“A lot of people only see the social side [of my life, via Instagram] and not actually how I play football. About this, I’m sometimes disappointed because I work hard every day. I train every day and I want to be the best player I can be. They don’t really know how I play. I’m always saying, ‘Watch a game please’ — and then they’re surprised, ” Lehmann recently told The Times.
Before her 2021 switch to Aston Villa, Alisha Lehmann scored 13 goals across 59 games for West Ham after spending time on loan at WSL rivals Everton.
