Another Afrobeat and MAVIN superstar, Ayra Starr has teamed up with one of the most iconic sportswear brands.
Nigerian music songstress Ayra Starr, is the latest Afrobeat star to partner with one of the biggest sportswear brands in the world.
The MAVIN Records superstar recently featured in a promotional video for the iconic Jumpman collective by Jordan.
Ayra Starr whose real name is Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, was spotted in a new ad rocking the Jordan Brooklyn Joggers on the Jordan MVP Women's trainers from the Jumpman Women Collection.
Ayra joins a star-studded list of Afrobeat artistes like Wizkid, Davido, Tems, Rema, amongst a few others that have partnered with some of the biggest sportswear brands on the globe.
This comes just days after her MAVIN Records label mate Rema modelled for Jordan's collection alongside the NBA legend himself Michael Jordan and a host of NBA stars like Jayson Tatum, Luca Doncic, and Zion Williamson.
The Jumpan Women Collection by Jordan
In March 2022, Jordan Brand announced a new project called ‘The Women’s Collective’.
The group which is made up of 33 women from around the world in various industries was brought together by Jordan to redefine the Jumpman logo and what it stands for, while offering a modern twist on the classic icon.
Among the group included skaters, designers, photographers, stylists, DJs, visual artists, and business owners who are major players in their respective fields and communities.
These outstanding women hailed from different cities across the world including Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, London, Shanghai, and Paris.
This was Jordan’s first collective of women as the brand aims to exemplify “that there is indeed room for all women at the table” through this process.
