Dimitri Payet has been fingered in a fresh scandal as disturbing details of his previous love affair has now come to light.
The former West Ham star and current Vasco da Gama midfielder, is reportedly under police investigation in Rio de Janeiro after shocking claims of abuse were made public by his ex-lover, Brazilian lawyer Larissa Ferrari.

The mind-blowing allegations from Ferrari has now sparked serious controversy over the personal life of the 38-year-old France international who once dazzled in the Premier League.
Larissa Ferrari, 28, told Agence France Presse that Payet demanded extreme forms of humiliation as proof of her love, including drinking her own urine.

“He demanded proof of love from me, which consisted of humiliation. I recorded videos in which I drank my urine, drank water from the toilet bowl, and licked the floor,” she stated, as reported by Daily Mail.
The affair reportedly lasted seven months after they met in August last year.

Larissa claims that following a heated argument in December, Payet began to “punish” her.
“I want justice because he abused my psychological vulnerability to gain sexual advantage,” she said.

In addition to the humiliation, Larissa alleges physical abuse too, including being pushed, stepped on, and left with marks on her body.
The police report confirms that the complaint was registered with a station specialising in supporting women, citing “physical, moral, psychological and sexual violence.”

Payet has not made a public statement amid the shocking allegations.
He is reportedly still married to Ludivine, his wife of nearly 20 years, and the couple share four children.

The footballer left his family behind in France to join Vasco da Gama in 2023.
In an earlier interview, Payet praised his wife’s support: “She said, ‘Go ahead. Come on, I’ll take care of everything. I’ll look after the children.’ If I’m here today, it’s thanks to her.”

But while Ludivine held down the fort, Payet was allegedly deep into a clandestine relationship with Larissa, who says their affair only happened after she divorced her then-husband.
“Our intention, initially, wasn’t for us to become so attached… but we ended up getting very involved. He gets lonely a lot too,” she said.

She added, “One thing I want to make clear is that it was never about money… In fact, the last time I went to Rio, I went by bus.”

Larissa has reportedly requested protective measures and says she’s stepping back from social media “to have some peace.” She ended her statement with an apology to her family.
Meanwhile, the police have confirmed that investigation is still ongoing.
