Morata is fed up of the rumours suggesting his divorce was due to his infidelity.

Álvaro Morata has recently spoken out about his separation from Alice Campello, marking the end of their eight-year relationship and the departure from their shared life with four children.

Their announcement came as a shock to many fans who had believed the couple's marriage was blossoming.

Morata, in a candid interview with journalist Javier de Hoyos on 'D Corazón' of La 1, broke his silence and addressed the reasons behind the divorce amid persistent rumours that he cheated on his ex-wife.

“I am devastated, but I swear that I never cheated on her,” Morata was quoted to have said in the interview as reported by Dario AS.

The Milan striker also revealed his efforts to avoid situations that might fuel such speculation, such as abstaining from attending national team events.

“She’s the most important woman of my life.

“I am tired of people saying that I was unfaithful to Alice and I didn't even go to the national team party so that this type of rumour wouldn't arise.

“Since then I haven't spoken to anyone out of respect for her and so that this type of news doesn't arise,” he told De Corazon.

In the recent interview, Morata attributed the separation primarily to the stress and instability caused by his football career.

His frequent relocations; spanning teams like Real Madrid, Chelsea, Juventus, Atletico Madrid, and now AC Milan, placed considerable strain on the family.

He said, "Alice wanted to stay in Spain and didn’t want to move again. Despite different views, we still have an excellent rapport for the well-being of our four children. There won’t be any second thoughts.”

The footballer's career demands, coupled with Alice's reluctance to relocate, created a significant divide between them.
