Located at 9955 Beverly Grove Dr, the house boasts seven fireplaces, a lighted tennis court, a poll house with two baths and a screening room.
The large mansion has 9,100 interior square feet which are vaulted, exposed beam ceilings. It has four bedrooms and eight bathrooms.
The house also harbours a hedge-lined driveway with a palm-filled motor court.
James' house, which has a view of the Pacific Ocean, has two guesthouses and a movie theater.
Interestingly though, according to Pursuitist.com, the house was built in the 1930s, but it has over the years undertaken renovations.
The other celebrities to previously own the house include actor Charles Boyer and Howard Hughes. It is reported latter, at one point, leased the house to lover Katherine Hepburn.
