Saka on Nigerian food
Saka was asked to select between several traditional Nigerian dishes and traditional British food in a recent video, the Arsenal player primarily chose Nigerian food.
The winger said he would rather have jollof rice, which is popular in Nigeria, than cauliflower cheese, which is popular in Britain.
Additionally, he said that he was accustomed to eating moin moin rather than scotch eggs because his mother had always made it for him when he was younger.
Saka said in a YouTube video, “I like moin moin, it’s like beans, but it's just made in a different way. My mum puts a bit of fish when she makes it, and it’s really nice,”
The Arsenal player also mentioned how much he loves plantain chips. But he went with UK love hearts over Nigerian sweet Tom Tom, and Twix chocolate over Milo.
Saka has however chosen to remain true to his heritage and continue eating Nigerian food since he still understands his roots.
