Neymar's latest acquisition comes amid rumours of a sensational reunion with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez in the MLS.
Neymar has set Miami’s real estate market ablaze with his recent ₦47.6 billion ($26 million) land purchase in the exclusive Bal Harbour neighbourhood.
The deal is fueling speculation that the Al Hilal star may be planning a future with Major League Soccer’s Inter Miami CF, potentially reuniting with former FC Barcelona teammates Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez.
According to insider sources via Mansion Global, the property spans 0.63 acres with 150 feet of waterfront on the Intracoastal Waterway and comes with pre-approved designs for a 13,000-square-foot mansion by London-based design firm Elicyon.
According to property records, the seller is Bent Philipson, founder of Philosophy Care, a consulting firm for skilled-nursing facilities in New York and New Jersey.
While the Al-Hilal star remains mum on his potential MLS ambitions, his Miami acquisition is drawing attention.
Although Neymar has yet to respond to inquiries about his future plans, this lavish purchase appears to hint at a long-term commitment to the Magic City.
A potential Messi-Neymar reunion looming?
Neymar’s Miami property purchase brings him closer to reuniting with Messi and Suarez, who have already joined Inter Miami CF and transformed the MLS landscape.
If Neymar follows suit, fans could witness one of the most iconic soccer partnerships revived on American soil.
The dream of Neymar, Messi, and Suárez playing together again is tantalising, especially with Miami’s growing status in American soccer.
The property’s previous owners, Bent Philipson and his late wife, Deborah, initially purchased the lot for ₦15.8 billion ($9.3 million) in 2020 and demolished an older house on the site.
Philipson, founder of consulting firm Philosophy Care, faced his own controversies, including a lawsuit from New York Attorney General Letitia James in 2022 over alleged fraud and neglect at one of his nursing homes.
Nevertheless, the property listing had persisted, with Philipson seeking around ₦51 billion ($30 million) at one point, but Neymar managed to seal the deal at ₦47.6 billion ($26 million).
Neymar’s Miami mansion acquisition isn’t just a real estate milestone.
It is also believed to be a signal that his next career move might be closer than fans think.
