Juventus star Paul Pogba is actively trying to sell off his Cheshire mansion following his return to Italy.
Paul Pogba has reportedly put his Cheshire mansion up for rent ahead of the 2023-24 Serie A season.
The 30-year-old France international paid 3.5 million euros ($3.8 million USD) for the house in 2016 after he sealed a mega-money switch to Manchester United.
However, following his exit from the club, the Juventus midfielder has decided to make a profit and has set a price of more than 32,000 euros per month.
This comes after Manchester City’s Norwegian goal machine Erling Haaland turned down a chance to purchase the property after signing for United’s local rivals last summer.
Haaland was only interested in a property that is more than 40 minutes by car from Manchester City’s training center led by Pep Guardiola.
Why Pogba is having a hard time leasing his Cheshire mansion?
Pogba’s Cheshire mansion features six bedrooms, a living room, a games room, a gym and a small soccer field, as well as a swimming pool with heated water and sauna.
There are also security mechanisms installed after thieves broke into Pogba’s home last year while his children were asleep.
However, Pogba is believed to be having a tough time selling off the property because many Manchester City players prefer to live in the city center rather than Cheshire, a quieter area situated well away from the bustle of the town's main streets.
Haaland also opted to establish his residence near the best restaurants and shops in the city.
" Paul and he know each other and share the same representation team," said a source for The Sun last year when Haaland was looking for a house in Manchester.
Pogba and Haaland both had Mino Raiola as their agent before the super agent passed away, so it seemed that the business was likely to happen.
After Haaland rejected the offer to purchase the property, the Juventus midfielder has now put his mansion up for rent.
