Fresh off their 5-0 thrashing of Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga on Saturday, Bayern Munich stars marched out for a festive outing at the iconic Oktoberfest, where players indulged in traditional festivities.
The team’s visit followed an impressive week, during which they netted a staggering 20 goals across three matches, solidifying their position at the top of the Bundesliga.
This remarkable performance included a 5-0 victory over Werder Bremen and a 9-2 thrashing of Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League, showcasing their attacking prowess under the guidance of new manager Vincent Kompany.
Kompany, who debuted at Oktoberfest in traditional Bavarian attire, has been hailed for his impact in the Bayern’s playin style so far, notably his emphasis on relentless pressing.
Club executives, including CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen, welcomed the players’ decision to partake in beer, noting, “We couldn’t have had a better start to the season,” while looking forward to their upcoming match against Bayer Leverkusen, the current defending champions.
