Real Madrid stars were gifted brand-new BMWs as part of their partnership with the automobile giants.
In an opulent display of Real Madrid’s ongoing partnership with BMW, 22 players, along with manager Carlo Ancelotti, were gifted luxury vehicles from the renowned German manufacturer.
Now in the third year of their collaboration, the iconic club continues to enjoy the perks, with players driving off in state-of-the-art BMWs, some worth a staggering fortune.
Among the top-tier choices, England midfield maestro Jude Bellingham opted for a sleek black BMW XM.
This model, shared by Los Blancos stars like Kylian Mbappé and Luka Modric, boasts a price range between ₦243 million (£110,000) and ₦387 million (£175,000), making it a favorite among football’s elite.
Bellingham’s choice reportedly cost around ₦332 million (£150,000), firmly establishing him in the luxury lane of modern footballers.
However, the showstopper of the day was none other than Ballon d’Or champion-elect Vinícius Jr., who set tongues wagging with his ultra-rapid BMW i7 M70 xDrive.
This vehicle, the fastest electric model BMW offers, can reach speeds of up to 149 miles per hour.
With a price tag starting from ₦368 million (£164,000), it became the most expensive car selected by the Real Madrid squad.
Recall that Vini Jr has already been reportedly been informed he would lift the prestigious 2024 Ballon d'Or award weeks ahead of the ceremony - set to take place on Monday 28 October, at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris.
Other notable picks included 18-year-old Brazilian wonderkid Endrick, who settled for a more modest i7 M70 xDrive at ₦157 million (£71,000) to enjoy with his newly-wedded wife Gabriely Miranda, while Ancelotti chose a BMW i5 M60 xDrive, priced at ₦216 million (£97,745).
Antonio Rüdiger, opting for an iX2 xDrive30, went for a more conservative choice, valued at ₦127 million (£57,445).
The luxury handover took place at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano, where David Alaba notably posed with his BMW XM, showcasing the plush dark red interior.
As part of the event, each player signed their vehicle’s special plate—a unique addition to their extravagant new rides.
