Boniface replies fans
Super Eagle star Boniface has replied to some of his fans, following a comment he made a few weeks ago.
Following Leverkusen’s win over Feyenoord in their first UCL game, the 23-year-old shared a heartfelt social media statement that perfectly captured his incredible journey.
According to Pulse Sports, via X, Boniface said, "From paying 30 naira to watch Champions League football for night back then for 323 army barrack Akure to playing my first Champions League game.”
However, his post did not go well with some Nigerians who questioned his comment about watching football back in the day for 30 naira.
He has now slammed those who questioned his comment with a reply on X after scoring the winning goal in the UCL last night.
Boniface said, “I say I watch match 30 naira, you say na lie, that one concern you and your village people. Something after we pay 30 naira them go give us cold Eba chop too.”
The forward will be in action on Saturday when Leverkusen welcome newcomers Holstein Kien in the Bundesliga as they continue their quest to defend the title.
