Months after going public with their romance, Richarlison and his girlfriend made a big announcement on social media.
Tottenham forward Richarlison and his influencer girlfriend, Amanda Araujo, have announced they are expecting their first child together.
The couple shared the joyful news in a joint Instagram post on Tuesday, featuring a series of heartwarming snaps.
“Now there are three of us,” Richarlison captioned the post, confirming their big announcement.
The pair, who went public with their relationship toward the end of the 2023/24 Premier League season, have been capturing fans’ attention both on and off the pitch.
Friends and family flooded the comments with congratulatory messages, celebrating this next chapter in their lives.
Richarlison: From Ballon d’Or backlash to baby bliss
The baby news comes hot on the heels of Richarlison’s infamous rant following the 2024 Ballon d’Or Award organisers.
The 27-year-old Brazilian forward publicly expressed his outrage when his compatriot, Vinicius Jr, missed out on the prestigious award.
Reacting to leaked rumours that Rodri would take the prize over Vinicius, Richarlison didn’t hold back.
Commenting on the Ballon d’Or’s Instagram post, he declared, “If Vini doesn’t win, SH*T IS GONNA GO DOWN.”
He followed this with a scathing statement on his own account, criticising the decision. : “All of us who live football await individual awards with great anticipation each season.
“Today, all Brazilians who love football woke up expecting to see another player from our country winning an award for the best in the world after so long.
“Unfortunately, due to criteria that no one can understand, the award did not come.”
While he acknowledged Rodri’s talent, Richarlison’s loyalty to Vinicius was evident.
“Don’t get me wrong, Rodri is a great player, who deserves to be among the best. But Vini not winning this Ballon d’Or was embarrassing, and the only thing that lost today was football.
“I remember Vini saying that his dream was to see the whole of Brazil rooting for him. And that day was today! You’re giant and the best in the world, kid! And no trophy will change that. Keep moving forward and never shut up! We’re together!”
Meanwhile Richarlison is currently sidelined for Spurs after suffering a hamstring injury during last month’s 4-1 home win against Aston Villa in the Premier League.
The former Everton striker has been ruled out of action until the new year.
However, since arriving White Hart Lane, Richarlison has failed to justify the €58million fee that was paid for his services two years ago, scoring just 16 times and creating nine assists in 73 appearances for the Lilywhites.
