The heat between Tyson Fury and Jon Jones is gradually gaining momentum as the boxing heavyweight champion has thrown down the gauntlet for a possible fight with the UFC superstar.

It all started when veteran journalist Joe Rogan said that he can bet his money that the UFC champion will defeat the Gypsy King if locked in the same room.

What Rogan said about Fury and Jones locked in a room

"You want to talk about who’s the baddest man on the planet? If Jon Jones and Tyson Fury are locked into a room, I’m pushing all of my chips on black.

"He has no chance of making it out of that room. Zero chance. [Fury] would have to catch Jon immediately with one punch, and I just don’t see that happening, man.

"The threat of the takedown looms so large. That shot will come so unexpectedly. When he gets his hands around you, you’ll be so stunned."

Fury’s response to Rogan's suggestion

That statement angered Fury as he called Rogan derogatory names as the undefeated boxer said no man born of a woman would beat him.

"Not a man born from a mother could f*** me up, in a room, on our own.

"Whatever happens in that room, I’d be walking out. Not a f****** problem."

Jones takes his stand

In response to this, Jones behaved civil as he told Fury that he might be the king in the squared circle but he dared him to enter into the Octagon with him.

"Hey Tyson, it seems like Joe may have struck a nerve.

"I’ll admit there’s no one touching you in that ring right now, but let’s not let that confuse you with what would happen if you stepped foot in my cage.

"If you ever want to put some of those questions you got going on to rest, give Dana a call. I’ll help you out."

Things took another turn as the linear heavyweight champion said he is ready to step into the rage not the Octagon with the undefeated MMA fighter which could be the biggest paycheck in the history of the sport.

Fury wants a boxing match

“Jon, you’re talking about me in a cage. I’m not a cage fighter, mate, I’m a boxer – the best boxer actually. So, if you want to come into a boxing ring and fight me, be my guest. Let me know. You don’t have to call anybody else – no Dana’s, nobody. You call me, because it’s a boxing fight, and I’m the boss in this game. Me.

“You’re a great fighter, Jon, but you’re definitely no boxer, that’s for sure. All the best, good luck.”

UFC president Dana White organized a cross-fight between Connor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather in 2017 which reportedly raked in hundreds of millions and the buisness man will be looking to jump at the opportunity of even making a bigger fight in the near future.
