Is Israel Adesanya gay? Uncertainty as Nigerian UFC star paints nails in style ahead of Sean Strickland fight
Nigerian UFC star Israel Adesanya has sparked speculation among fans after he painted his nails in style.
At UFC 293 in Australia this week, Adesanya will defend his title against Sean Strickland.
Adesanya engaged in an off-topic conversation about why he was unwilling to send his children to school during an interview before his fight.
Adesanya claims he won't send his children to school because he believes that much of the knowledge is useless and that schools were established to produce workers.
He said, “Honestly, I don’t even know why we still have this whole f—king, just this outdated concept of school to just build workers.
"Because we know what the f—k school was made for. Why are we pretending? We know school was created to create workers.
"I still don’t know what the f— is X. I’m still waiting, when have I as an adult known what the f— X is.
"A lot of useless information got passed on to me at school. And I sucked at school because I was s— at memorizing. I didn’t really learn anything.”
“School doesn’t teach you much, honestly. It teaches you the basics. I understand math, yes, English, comprehension, all that kind of stuff.
"But when it come to social studies and algebra and calculus? I’m like, are you going to use those in the real world? So f—k school.
What Adesanya would do instead of sending his children to school
Israel Adesanya discussed his views on education in a recent interview clip that has gone viral.
The fact that he didn't think he used it very much and won't be enrolling his children in the public school system when he has children of his own is the most important.
Adesanya says he will hire tutors to teach his kids the fundamentals while also making sure they participate in jiu-jitsu and gymnastics programs to ensure they socialize with other youngsters.
One of the main issues with homeschooling your children is that they don't get to interact with other children as much and develop their social skills.
Adesanya has a solution for that, but in his opinion, sports are the best way for his children to make new friends.
He added, “When I have kids I’ll have a tutor that’s going to teach them from home from 9am to midday…the rest of the day we’re going to go on adventures…and then I’m going have do gymnastics, Jiu-Jitsu so that they’re involved with other kids and not socially awkward.
“Because I want to make sure they know their body; the foundation of athleticism, gymnastics.
“My plan is, right, when I have kids, I’m going to have a tutor that’s going to teach them from the age—at home—from the time, say, maybe, 9am to mid-day or 1pm.
"And they’ll have an hour of homework, and the rest of the day we’ll just go on adventures doing s—t.”
"You don’t want to raise some f—king bum kids who don’t have any social skills.
"But, I want to make sure that they have those kinds of skills by interacting with other kids through gymnastics or Jiu Jitsu, or other activities.
"And they’ll do that every day or every whatever days of the week it is."
Israel Adesanya visited his school in Nigeria
Adesanya might not think that the educational system is very effective or that it meets his needs very well.
However, he made time to travel to the Chrisland School in Opebi, Nigeria, where his academic career began.
Back in 2019, Adesanya spoke to kids there while taking a moment to reflect and display his UFC title belt.
Adesanya is not Gay
Adesanya has pledged to keep doing his nails for his forthcoming world title defense against longtime foe Sean Strickland in Sydney.
Next month at the Qudos Bank Arena, Adesanya will face off against the contentious Strickland.
Adesanya and Strickland's protracted dispute began when their fights were on the same UFC 276 card.
Strickland went on to lose against Alex Pereira while Adesanya recorded a win against Jared Cannonier.
Adesanya is expected to show details of his private life in his new documentary Stylebender as the trailer dropped ahead of the release on September 28, 2023.
The next contender for the middleweight belt, Sean Strickland, has previously taken issue with middleweight champion Adesanya's reputation for maintaining his appearance and painting his nails.
The champion, however, is unwilling to alter his approach and is adamant that, whether or not Strickland has painted nails, he will be defeated.
