Jon Jones returns to win UFC heavyweight title with submission against Ciryl Gane
American professional mixed martial artist Jonathan Jones is the new Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight title holder.
Jones recorded a first-round submission victory against French professional mixed martial artist Ciryl Gane.
Jones returned to the UFC to contest the heavyweight title against Gane following the departure of Cameroonian-French professional mixed martial artist Francis Ngannou.

Jones returned to the UFC Octagon to face off against Gane in the early hours of Sunday, March 5, 2023.
It was Jones's first UFC fight in three years and he did not disappoint. Regarded as the greatest of all time, Jones was quick to attack Gane with the aim of taking advantage of his wrestling skills.
Jones was able to wrap up Gane's legs and then proceeded to get his hands around his neck.
Jones was able to put his weight on Gane who was relentless in trying to break away with his legs tied.
The French man could not deal with the pain and with two minutes and four seconds left in the first round signaled submission to the referee.
Jones on his return become the new UFC heavyweight champion and rose to the top of the trends on social media.
UFC fans praised Jones as the greatest in the sport as he did not suffer any damage in the fight.
Jones is now expected to return to the ring in July against former champion Stipe Miocic.
