Lagos will host the next Spirit Of Warrior Mixed Martial Arts tournament.
The Muson Center in Lagos will be the host as 10 international fights are set for the Battle of the Gladiators Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) showpiece.
The MMA event is organized by Akalaka Spirit of the Warrior promotion and will take place on Saturday, January 28, 2023, starting at 7 PM.

Nigeria’s Emmanuel ‘The Working Machine ‘ Nworie will battle with Daniel Appah in the welterweight class.
In a lightweight battle, Ebenezer ‘Iron Fist’ Vincent and Geoffrey John The Skullcobra will have a rematch.
Uchejim Onyeka of the Nigerian Army takes on Ghana’s Edmond Akhator in a featherweight bout to complete the main card.
Ebere Stanford The Shaolin Tiger in his first international MMA fight will face off against Ghana’s Jerry Otoo in a preliminary fixture.
The Gladiators Cage Fight in Lagos in Lagos will serve as an appetizer for “The Night of Glamour and Glory” which will take place on Saturday, April 29 in the Federal Capital Territory of Abuja.

Nigerian Army veteran and combat sports specialist Dr. Ebere Bernard the promoter of the show explained the goal of discovering local talents.
He said, “The promotion is focused on grassroots youth development which constitutes about 70% Nigeria's population, with a target of grooming 200 MMA prospects every year across the country for the next five years.”
Following the emergence of Kamaru Usman, Israel Adesanya, Kennedy Nzechukwu, and Sodiq Yusuff in the UFC there has been significant attention to Nigeria's talent to succeed in Mixed Martial Arts.
The Spirit of the Warriors event is just another opportunity for aspiring MMA stars in the west African region to horn their craft.
