Conor McGregor is not going down without a fight after being found guilty of r*pe.
In a shocking turn of events, MMA star Conor McGregor is making headlines again after being ordered to pay over ₦438 million ($250,000) to Nikita Hand, who accused him of sexual assault.
Hours ago, a Dublin jury found McGregor liable for assault in a civil trial, stemming from an alleged incident in 2018.
Hand claimed that McGregor “brutally raped and battered” her after a night of partying at a Dublin hotel penthouse, leaving her physically and emotionally scarred.
Speaking outside the courthouse, Hand was quoted to have said as per Deadline:
“To all the victims of sexual assault, I hope my story is a reminder that no matter how afraid you might be, speak up, you have a voice and keep on fighting for justice.”

However, McGregor, the world’s richest MMA fighter, has vehemently denied the allegations, maintaining the encounter was consensual.
Following the verdict, the former UFC champion didn’t hold back on social media.
In a now-deleted post on X, McGregor slammed the jury’s decision, writing:
“I will be appealing today’s decision. This was not a court of hard evidence and truth; it’s a kangaroo court of opinions and feelings. On we fight!”

McGregor’s online tirades didn’t end there.
The Irish MMA fighter-turned-actor targeted Hand directly, labeling her a "vicious liar" and celebrating the clearance of his co-accused, James Lawrence, who was found not guilty.
Responding to media reporting of Ms Hand's comments outside the court on Friday when she declared 'justice has been served', McGregor wrote on X:
'Justice was served for James Lawrence, yes!' In reference to his co-accused, who was cleared of assault.
'Nikita Hand, vicious liar! APPEAL!' he added.
Mr Lawrence also posted on social media: 'She is now fully liable for all my legal fees and I will be suing [her] for damages.'
While McGregor remains defiant, Hand appeared overwhelmed by the verdict and refrained from addressing McGregor’s inflammatory remarks in detail.
“It’s a lot to take in,” she said, expressing gratitude for the outcome.
Meanwhile, the two-time UFC champion is doubling down on his claims of innocence, vowing to clear his name.
As he continues to fight his battles both inside and outside the courtroom, the fallout from this case is far from over.
