Riders who shone in various motorcycle sports disciplines in the 2023 campaign will be feted during the annual awards ceremony in Nairobi this weekend
Motorcycle Sports Federation of Kenya (MSFK) will fete its top achievers of 2023 at a prestigious gala at Offroad Adventures EA in Karen, Nairobi on Saturday.
The annual event will not only celebrate excellence in various motorcycle sports disciplines but also recognise invaluable contributions of the community to the broader spectrum of "Beyond Sports".
“MSFK is not just a sports federation, its structure is similar to that of FIM (International Motorcycling Federation), which also includes ‘beyond sports’ activities such as medical, leisure and touring, road safety and advocacy, sustainability and women in motorcycling,” said MSFK president Renzo Bernardi.

Beyond sports activities for 2023 included the prestigious Concours D’Elegance hosted by the Alfa Romeo Owners Club as well as community engagement programmes such as Ubuntu Run, Bikers’ Pray Day, leisure rides, road safety, gender parity, mental health awareness and sustainability initiatives hosted by Private Bikers Association of Kenya and Women Bikers Association.
As is the norm, the occasion will fete all National Championship winners in Motocross, Enduro and Rally Raid (Bike Class) as well as regional champions in the prestigious FIM Africa Central Africa Challenge (CAC), traditionally held on a home-and-away basis in Kenya and Uganda.
Uganda hosted the initial round of the CAC series in April 2023 with Kenya hosting the return leg at Jamhuri Park Racetrack in December.

Eighteen dedicated competitors who did duty for Kenya in the FIM Africa Motocross of African Nations (MXOAN) in Cape Town will also be feted.

The occasion will also recognise a Kenyan who graced the Roof of Africa (Hard Enduro) in Lesotho.
MSFK Special Awards category will feature both sporting and non-Sporting recipients. These are the Angus Young Award, Karin Bernardi Award, Lady Rider of the Year, Meritorious Award, Sustainability Award, Women in Motorcycling, Personality of the Year, Club of the Year as well as Appreciation Plaques for various notable personalities who made valued contribution to the sport.
The motorcycling season in 2023 featured a total of 19 national series events; nine in motocross, six in enduro and four in rally raid (bike category) as well as three FIM-sanctioned events, including FIM Africa Motocross of African Nations (MXoAN) and FIM Africa Central African Challenge Cup.
