She Cranes’ head coach Fred Mugerwa has hailed goal shooter Mary Nuba Cholhok for playing a pivotal role in leading her club Lightning Loughborough, to their second Netball Super League title in the United Kingdom.
In a hard-fought final, Nuba's exceptional performance proved instrumental as she scored an impressive 41 goals, helping Lightning overcome London Pulse with a final score of 58-47, despite trailing in the opening quarters.
The towering Ugandan star also concluded the season as the league's top scorer, amassing an astounding total of 908 goals in 19 appearances out of 20 matches.

“Winning the title is a tremendous boost for her confidence and the entire team," he stated.
"Mary Nuba will be motivated, and I am happy for her," Mugerwa told Pulse Sports.
Following the unfortunate unavailability of Peace Proscovia and Stella Oyella due to illness and injury, respectively, Nuba stands as the only professional player eligible for selection in the World Cup team.

However, Mugerwa couldn't confirm when she would be joining the World Cup residential camp, as her club is yet to communicate their plans.
Expressing her gratitude, Cholhok took to Twitter to acknowledge her team and fans for their support in her achievements.
She tweeted: "So much blood, sweat, and tears have gone into this season. I'm incredibly proud of everything we accomplished this year.”
