The She Cranes have been invited by England, along with powerhouses Australia and New Zealand, for the Vitality Netball Nations Cup.

Uganda's Netball team, the She Cranes, will face off with four of the world’s leading netball nations across the weekends of 20-21 and 27-28 January 2024 as part of an incredible showcase of international netball.

The first two days of the tournament will be played at the prestigious OVO Arena Wembley.

Matches will then move to the First Direct Arena, marking the first time that international netball has been held in Leeds.

“The two venues in London and Leeds will offer the perfect backdrop for this incredible showcase of highly anticipated matches and demonstrate the growing support and interest in our sport in this country," England Netball CEO Fran Connolly was quoted by EnglandNetball.com.

"We are very much looking forward to welcoming Australia, New Zealand and Uganda for this fiercely contested Series which will get the 2024 netball calendar off to a fantastic start.”

The Australian Diamonds and the New Zealand Silver Ferns remain on top of the world rankings, with England currently placed in third, whilst Uganda recorded their best-ever finish at a World Cup with a fifth place.

While it's an incredible development for netball, the sport in the country is in an uncertain state as World Netball named a Uganda Netball Federation normalisation committee following the court's denial of Sarah Babirye Kityo's (elected UNF President) injunction.
