The WWE legend will grace the cover of the forthcoming WWE's next game as 2K have finally confirmed the release date of the official video game.
WWE icon John Cena is one of the most popular names in the company’s history and one of the most influential athletes in sports and entertainment.
Regardless of if you’re a WWE or Hollywood fanatic or even a video gaming geek, the People’s Champ has no doubt left fans with one jaw dropping moment or another.
Over the past week, rumors and leaks have been floating around with regards to WWE 2K23 video game.
2K have now put all speculations to rest following the release of the official teaser and cover star for their recent installment of WWE games.
John Cena unveiled as cover star in WWE 2K23 Official Trailer
The forthcoming edition of WWE 2K will see none other than Cenation leader John Cena.
The teaser for the game was posted on 2K’s and WWE’s official social media platforms.
The teaser has a comical play on John Cena’s catchphrase, “You can’t see me” as the WWE superstar seems to be invisible throughout the teaser.
The short clip also featured Latin pop star, Bad Bunny, as well as popular YouTube boxer Logan Paul who faced Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel last year in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Earlier, Cena had also teased the launch in one of his many cryptic Instagram posts in a similar manner.
However, the 45-year-old superstar took to Twitter to share his true feelings about the game and its exciting “career mode.”
The ‘Peacemaker’ star tweeted on Wednesday, January 25: “Honored to be on the cover of @WWE @WWEgame #WWE2K23 for the second time! The new game certainly brings a new meaning to “career mode.” Excited for every player to take this journey!”
This is not the first time that Cena has been the cover star of any WWE game.
The WWE 2K23 Face was also the face of Raw vs SmackDown games, getting featured in multiple covers of that franchise.
However, it was WWE 2K15 that had John Cena as the sole cover star. WWE 2K23 is available for pre-order with the Deluxe and Icon editions.
The game will officially be launched on March 17th, 2023.

John Cena recently made his return to the WWE ring, competing in the last SmackDown of 2022.
He teamed up with Kevin Owens to defeat the team of Sami Zayn and the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns in lated December.
This continued the 16-time world champion’s streak of wrestling every year since his debut in 2002.
However, John Cena’s streak of competing in WrestleMania ended in 2021, having missed two WrestleManias in a row, and the fans are clamoring for his return to the stage he has often dominated in his glittering WWE career.
