HANDBALL African U-18 champions Nigeria regroup for IHF Trophy Intercontinental Championship
Nigeria's under-18 male handball team has regrouped in Lagos to begin preparing to represent Africa at the IHF Inter-continental Championship in Costa Rica later this month.

The team will participate in the under-18 category and has been drawn in Group A alongside the host, Ghana, Liberia and Niger Republic.
Nigeria begins their campaign against the Niger Republic in the very first match of the competition.
The match will hold at the Tennis Arena of the Accra Sports Stadium.

Nigeria will be in the handball championship as the champions of Africa, with the team set to depart the country in batches.
The U-18s team
Ahead of the Phase 3 battle, Coach Adewunmi has named his final list of 14 players that will defend Nigeria’s honour at the championship.
The players include Rahima Bello of Rima Babes and Vera John of Bayelsa Queens, who was the national division one most valuable player in Benin City, Edo State.
Before their departure, the team played two key friendly matches against the Lagos U-18 boys team and an All-Star Senior Female Team to help the team adequately prepare for the tournament.
