Doubles Wimbledon champion Angela Okutoyi has proven her prowess after she displayed class to win her third straight singles game at the ongoing Billy Jean King Cup Africa Group III tournament at the Nairobi Club on Wednesday.
Okutoyi put up a good fight to shock Uganda’s Patience Athieno 2-0 and deny her a chance in scoring a point in any of the two sets.

Meanwhile, earlier today, Alicia Owegi came from behind to beat Botswana's Cheludo Monnayoo 4-6, 6-4, and, 6-2.
The first set saw her win 6-0 and she maintained the same momentum to take the second one in style.

In her second singles game on Tuesday, she also stamped authority on home soil with a 2-0 win over Botswana’s Chelsea Chakanyuka. The 18-year-old won the first set 6-1 before destroying Chakanyuka in the second, winning 6-2.
