The event is scheduled for Monday, May 1 to Saturday, May 6 at the Moi International Sports Center in Kasarani, Nairobi.
With the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) Africa Championships just days away, head coach Anthony Mathenge is bullish over Team Kenya's chance to emerge as kings and queens of African table tennis.
The event is scheduled for Monday, May 1 to Saturday, May 6 at the Moi International Sports Center in Kasarani, Nairobi and it returns to Kenya since 2018. Last year's edition was staged in Lagos, Nigeria.
Mathenge said they have been stepping up their preparations ahead of the battle that has attracted some of the best tennis players in the continent. Defending champions Omar Assar and Hana Goda are among the stars who will be returning for back-to-back wins.
“Of course, playing at home places us at an advantage. There are low levels of tension and we are free to play,” Mathenge told KBC Sport.
