"I’m just going to improve on everything. When people see me in Paris I want them to recognise me because I skated my 540s and my pink helmet, and just me being me. It’s safe to say she achieved her goal,” Trew stated before the Games.

Trew became the youngest Australian medalist, surpassing the previous record held by Sandra Morgan, who won gold in the women’s 4x100 freestyle relay at age 14 years and 184 days in 1956.
