The maiden Shuttle Time Nigeria Clinic rounded up at Ilisan Community Town Hall, Ilisan-Remo, Ogun State, with more Secondary Schools joining the fray.
The South-West Badminton Outreach, in conjunction with the Badminton Federation of Nigeria (BFN), held two days of grassroots badminton outreach for secondary school students in Ogun.
The outreach is powered by the Community Sports and Educational Development (CSED) initiative.
13 Secondary Schools participated on the first day of the clinic.

The outreach will involve the local government training 15 secondary school game masters/mistresses.
Aunty Fola Group of School (Ilisan), Al-Lateef Muslim College (Ilisan), Christ Apostolic Grammar School (Iperu), Regal New Heights (Sagamu), Isanbi Model College (Ilisan), Highbrow College (Ilisan), Mayflower Schools (Ikenne), Dee Unique College (Ilisan), Ilisan High School (Ilisan), Methodist Comprehensive College (Sagamu), Community Grammar School (Lemo), and Isanbi Comprehensive High School (Ilisan) participated on the opening day of the clinic.
The International Day of Sports for Development and Peace was celebrated on April 6 and was specifically picked by the BFN for the clinic to mark the day.
Shuttle Time Nigeria Coordinator, trained physical education (PE) teachers participated in fitness drills and the fundamentals of badminton in order to instruct their students using the same techniques.
The clinic offered equipment including rackets, nets, and shuttlecocks to participating schools.

Opeyori won Four African title in Five years
The clinic was attended by Badminton Federation of Nigeria (BFN) members and members of badminton families in Nigeria like Obiageli Solaja (BFN Events and Organising sub-committee Chairperson), Mrs Onikopo Adebayo (Vice Chairman, Ogun State Badminton Association), Adewale Olasukani, (Badminton Head Coach, Ogun State), Mrs Asagba Grace, (former African Badminton Champion), amongst others.
Pulse Sports reports that Nigeria’s number one badminton player, Anuoluwa Opeyori, won the African Championship.
He won his fourth African title in a space of five years to assert himself as Africa’s undisputable champion.
