FEATURE Father’s Day special: Kenyan legends who passed on their sporting genes to their children
As the world marks a day dedicated to the role played by dads, Pulse Sports highlights the legends who passed on their playing genes to their children
This marks his 21st Safari rally and he is also hopeful of a top-10 finish.
“I want to beat this kid [Karan]. Safari Rally is all about brains I would say. You need the pace but I’m not going to suggest that I can keep up with these young guys, maybe a little bit of brains will help out, especially if the weather has its ways, it might suit me a little bit more. I’m looking to get in the top 10,” Tundo said.
He also expressed his excitement to be back in action and also heading the Local Organising Committee. “I’m really excited to be back, and also being part of the organizing committee,” he said.
He added that if it rains, the rally will be more exciting and it will add a bit more flavour, especially around Soysambu, Elementeita, and Sleeping Warrior areas.

MOTORSPORTS Most successful Safari Rally drivers
The following drivers have significantly contributed to Kenya's motorsport legacy and are regarded as the most successful Safari Rally drivers.
“I’m praying it rains…it adds a different dynamic to the whole event as last year it was quite dry, we had a bit of rain and we had a bit of fesh fesh, and this year I think there will be a lot less. But if it is wet it will add a whole different ball game to the rally,” he added.
