The Kenya rugby national men's under-20 side, Chipu have intensified preparations ahead of the Rugby Africa Under-20 Barthes Cup slated for April 22-30 in Nairobi.
A 39-man squad has been in non-residential training ahead of the tournament under the tutelage of KCB head coach Curtis Olago.
Team manager Peter Mutai noted that training has been seamless. He however revealed that one player, Mathias Osimbo is recovering from an injury and they are keen on monitoring him.
“Training has been going on well. We have been monitoring Osimbo who is carrying an injury sustained during his side's Kenya Cup fixture a few weeks ago. A decision will be made in the coming days,” Mutai said.
