National Youth Games: Lagos wins 7 medals in Swimming
Oluwademilade Akanbi secured Team Lagos first Gold medal in the 50 meters backstroke for girls with the time of 32:62 seconds and went to claimed her second gold in the 100 meters Butterfly, recording 1 minute, 19 seconds.

Ekiti State achieved a new record at the recent Youth Games in Ilorin, finishing 16th in the table with two gold, nine silver, and two bronze medals, their highest performance ever at the event.

Miss Funmilayo Beauty Oyero is the youngest Lagos athlete in the ongoing National Youth Games.
Recall that the Ekiti State House of Assembly summoned the officials in charge of sports in the state to appear before the House Committee on Youth and Sport because of their shabby dressing during the opening ceremony of the Youth Games on Saturday.
Biodun Oyebanji, the state governor, also summoned the head of the sports council, Adekunle Adeyemi, from Asaba, to account for the bad appearance of the young athletes.
