Football Development: Nigeria set to Partner Spain

Enoh made the call while receiving the Spanish Ambassador to Nigeria, His Excellency, Juan Ignacio Sell, in his office at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.

The Nigerian government has indicated a willingness to work with Spain and other countries across the world in the sphere of sports in order to ensure that the country's vast sporting potential is utilized for socioeconomic progress and development.

Senator John Enoh, Minister of Sports Development, made the call while receiving the Spanish Ambassador to Nigeria, His Excellency, Juan Ignacio Sell, in his office at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.

He noted that Spain was undeniably a well-known country in the world of sports, particularly its Football League, the Spanish LaLiga, a success that the current administration wishes to replicate in the country.

The Minister, who had previously been presented with a copy of an MoU signed by the previous government, informed the Spanish Ambassador of the Federal Government's willingness to engage with other nations throughout the world, particularly in the field of sports development.

Minister Enoh said, “The potential of sports in Nigeria is huge, and the present administration intends to turn this potential to achievements, And also make Nigeria a renowned country in the field of sports.”
