Red Bull have picked up yet another win in the 2023 Formula 1 season as Sergio Perez claimed the win in the first sprint race of the season at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix ahead of Sunday's main showdown.
The race which followed a new qualifying format saw Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc take pole position on Friday.
However, Leclerc would end up finishing in after Perez used DRS to overtake him on lap eight of 17 as the Mexican driver pulled clear to take victory in Baku.
Defending world champion and Red Bull driver Max Verstappen finished third on Saturday after fending off serious competition for Mercedes driver George Russell.
Verstappen overtook Russell after a safety-car interruption.
Russell ended up finishing in fourth, ahead of Aston Martin driver Fernando Alonso and his Mercedes teammate Lewis Hamilton.
