The World University Games will flag off on July 28 in Chengdu, China.
A renowned entrepreneur and passionate advocate for youth development and empowerment Engr. Dr. Funmilayo Waheed-Adekojo has donated essential kits for Nigerian student athletes for the upcoming 31st World University Games in Chengdu, China.
Pulse Sports reported that the games are scheduled to take place from July 28 to August 8, 2023.
75 student-athletes were selected from 22 universities to represent Nigeria in seven different sports disciplines.

Recall that the Nigerian University Games Association (NUGA) encountered significant financial challenges in its preparations for this international sporting event, forcing the association to rely heavily on universities for qualified athletes.
