Nigerian Freak Giannis Antetokounmpo bags triple-double as The Milwaukee Bucks end losing streak with win against Toronto Raptors.
Milwaukee defeated the Toronto Raptors 128-104 at Scotiabank Arena on their first trip to Canada this season.
The Raptors have dropped 13 of their previous 14 games, while the Bucks have dropped four of their last five games against teams contending for the first pick in the 2017 NBA draft lottery.
Giannis Antetokounmpo finished with 13 assists, 11 points, and 11 rebounds for his 49th triple-double of the regular season.
Antetokounmpo produced 10 assists in a decisive first half that saw the Bucks lead by 19 points at the intermission, setting a season-high assist total.
Antetokounmpo, who leads the NBA in scoring with almost 32 points per game, had one of his lowest-scoring games this season.
In the last minute of the first half, Antetokounmpo struck the hoop during a chase-down block attempt on R.J. Barrett, cutting his right pinky.
After an instant timeout, he had it taped and continued to play for most of the third quarter.
After a five-game shooting slump, Damian Lillard went 7-for-12 from the floor and 5-for-8 from beyond the arc to lead the Bucks with 25 points.
In addition, he had three assists and was 6-for-7 from the free-throw line.
All nine Bucks who participated in the regular rotation scored, with Gary Trent Jr. contributing 17 and Bobby Portis Jr. contributing 20.
Taurean Prince, who started in place of Khris Middleton, finished with eight points and four assists, while Brook Lopez finished with sixteen.
Barrett led Toronto with 25 points and 8 rebounds, followed by 21 from Scottie Barnes.
The Bucks are hoping that their win over the Raptors will give them some momentum.
